Testing the Population Mean with p-Value Practice 

For each of the following sets of hypotheses and test statistic values, assume the degrees of freedom are 20 throughout.  A 5% significance level will be used for these tests.  Then, use t-table in your formula card (A.3), or the partial t-table given below, to find the bounds for the p-value.  Compare the p-value to the significance level and choose the corresponding statistical decision.  Finally, comment on the finding.  For instance, how strong is the evidence?  Are the p-value and alpha level close enough that another test should be conducted with a new sample?
