"A Survey Method for Characterizing Daily Life Experience: The Day Reconstruction Method," published in Science magazine in December 2004, asked a large sample of women to report what they did throughout the day, and how they felt at the time. They were to rate each activity in terms of "positive affect" (among other things), reporting their feeling of happiness/ enjoyment on a scale of 0 to 6. The overall mean positive affect was 3.89.4 Tell whether the standardized score for each of these specific activities' means (for all the women) would be positive or negative.
