Your organization has been offered an opportunity to supply a complex new engine for a recreational vehicle. Your current capacity is nearing its limits. To take on this new product, you might have to add workers and/or increase investment in new equipment as well as possibly outsource some of the work to a new supplier. Currently, you are in the midst of a major productivity improvement effort whose benefits are not yet discernible.
