a) Using a 700 MHz NMR system (1H NMR) to measure the relative concentrations of two different molecules in a solution. Molecule A has a chemical shift of 4.72 ppm, B has 3.97 ppm. The line width of each of the two resonances is 100 Hz.

b) What is the magnetic field strength of the NMR system in Tesla? Show all equations and explain.

c) Are the resonances of A and B well enough resolved to be able to measure the relative concentrations by NMR? Explain reasoning.

d) If Molecule A has 6 chemically identical hydrogens and B has one, what will be the ratio of the areas under each resonance (A:B) in the NMR spectrum if the molar concentration of A is half that of B? Please show how answer was obtained.
