CH4 methane boils at -160C, NH3 ammonia boils at -33C, H2O boils at 100C, H2S hydrogen sulfide boils at -60C

a) Explain the increasing boiling point as you move from methane to ammonia to water be explicit as to what forces are acting on these molecules and how you know.

b) We've learned that elements in the same column tend to behave similarly but H2S boils at lower temperatures than H2O and even NH3 explain this in terms of intermolecular forces
