1. A curious student who enjoys B/L A/B chemistry puts on safety glasses, obtains a beaker containing deionized water and simultaneously adds, 0.10 mol Na2O(s), 0.050 mol Na2S(s), 0.040 mol H4NHSO4(s), 0.15 mol (H4N)2SO4(s), and 0.050 mol (HO)2SO2(l) (H2SO4). The student then adds more water until the solution volume becomes 1.0 L. Now tackle the following.
a. Write the eqn for each large-extent B/L A/B rxn which occurred on making this mixture. Do this by starting with the rxn that involves the strongest B/L A with the strongest B/L B. Label this rxn (i). Continue writing eqns in this "strength order" until all eqns have been written.
b. Except for H2O(l), write a complete, correct quantitative PSI for the resulting system.
c. Calculate [H3O+] for the resulting system. Show all pertinent work except arithmetic. (Note: The system has a pH somewhere within 8.00 - 10.00.)
