The Mars Climate Orbiter (formerly the Mars Surveyor '98 Orbiter) was launched by NASA on December 11, 1998. However, on September 23, 1999, NASA loss contact with the orbiter and it was reported it crashed onto the surface of Mars. Using the internet or any other resource, research this accident and provide a brief description of what happened. Is there a lessons learn here for LSC manager?
