There has been increased attention lately to sports-related head injuries. Frontline recently published an article about the NFL's "concussion crisis,"5 and physicians have become more sensitive to recognizing and treating head trauma in younger children. Recent studies suggest that there may be a sex difference in memory after a concussion.6 A random sample of female soccer players who sustained a concussion was obtained. A computer test to measure memory skills was administered, and the time (in seconds) needed to complete the test was recorded for each. Assume that the underlying distribution of time needed to complete this memory test is continuous. Is there any evidence to suggest that the median time to complete this test for women is greater than 40 seconds? Use a = 0.05.
