Q - Provide a clear and specific definition of plagiarism as an unacceptable technique for professional writing as it applies to your major field of study (management and logistics) and your present or intended career path (food service).
A - Plagiarism can be defined as the practice of taking someone else's work or ideas and passing them as one's own (google.com.) Plagiarism is unacceptable in business management and all schoolwork. Plagiarism is very easy to achieve or not take part in. All work that is completed by a student needs to be his or her own ideas. If a student decides to use someone else's idea that student has to give credit to that person. If the student does not give credit of someone else's idea this is plagiarism. The easiest way to detect plagiarism in your writings is to proofread you writings before you turn them in. Proofreading can catch many mistakes you would have never know were there. In this class, if many students have the same writings or their writing may seem a little too good would be a red flag to search and see if their writings were plagiarized. Proofreading can prevent plagiarism because it gives the writer a chance to catch mistakes he/she would miss if they did not proofread. It gives you a second chance to make sure you are not plagiarizing.
