Discusses the message source. Read carefully about the three main source components: expertise, trustworthiness, and credibility. Now assume that you are the marketing director for a new running shoe company. Your company is positioned to compete with the big shoe manufacturers such as Nike. If you were going to create a series of ads, what sort of actor would you use in the ads to promote your company and products if you wanted to convey each of the source components? In other words, what actor would you use for expertise, what actor for trustworthiness, and what actor for credibility? Include a paragraph for each. Be sure to be persuasive about why the actor that you have chosen for each is appropriate. NOTE: the term "actor" in this context doesn't necessarily mean a professional, Hollywood actor. The actor is simply the person promoting the product.
