Scenario

You are the new HIT Director for a large physician practice in Columbia, Missouri. The physicians are in an uproar due to the new EHR system that was implemented last month. Some are threatening to leave and others are adamantly refuse to use the system. They're writing notes on paper and leaving them on the nurses desks expecting them to enter the information for them. The EHR system is confusing, requires multiple logins and doesn't interface with the lab results or pyxis medication system. The previous HIT Director had a friend she went to college with that was a representative for an EHR company and chose the current system without doing her due diligence and research.
