Question: O-Ring Data. When these data were analyzed prior to the Challenger disaster it was noticed that variability was greater in the group with the larger average, so a log transformation was used. Since the log of zero does not exist, all the zeros were deleted from the data set. Does this seem like a reasonable approach?
