Some have argued that some form of skepticism is a good methodology for the sciences. How can the precautionary principle be seen as instituting a form of skepticism? You may take skepticism to mean "Any challenge to what one claims to know."

A) The strong form says, in effect, if we don't know that we know something, then we should refrain from acting.

B) The weak form says, in effect, if we don't know that we know something, then we should be cautious in acting

C) If you don't know that you know, then don't act like you do.
