A dense Al2O3 ceramic with grain size that diameter of 1um containing 2 vol% of ZrO2 particles that are uniformly distributed at the grain boundary. if the particle size (diameter) of the ZrO2 is 0.15 um, and the grain boundary energy is 0.5 J/m2, assuming spherical particles.

And there were voids of 4um in diameter as a result trapped air bubbles during slip casting, what is the coordination number of spherical Al2O3 particles around the voids? Would the voids expand, shrink or not change? Assuming simple cubic particle packing arrangement and no ZrO2 surrounding the voids.
