Question 1:  flowing at 25°C and 750 kPa with negligible kinetic energy in a 5 mm diameter tube is throttled (i.e., pressure reduced) to a pressure of 165 kPa. You are asked to find the exit temperature and the exit pipe diameter so that the velocity stays constant. Follow the following steps.

a. Show a schematic for the process and label the inlet and exit streams.

b. State your assumptions and list the crossed out terms of the equation in question 41 so that you obtain an energy balance relevant to this problem.

c. Write the thermodynamic properties for the inlet and the outlet of the process that you need to find the exit temperature and specific volume.
