Your company ships consumer construction products to Home Depot, and Home Depot expects that Invoices are perfect (zero defects) for each truckload shipment you send to them. Your supervisor would be happy if (over a long period of time) your organization could achieve Six Sigma Quality on these Invoices. She suggests that this might be a quality improvement project that your company should investigate. By sampling historic documents, you have found that each invoice has about 100 variables that could be incorrect (could cause a defect).
