Scottsboro: An American Tragedy

Race, poverty, and sectionalism was history as it relates to the Scottsboro. The struggle for justice was what the people were fighting for the quality they couldn't have. A train carrying two groups of black and white men left Tennessee during this tragedy, and that is what happened. A fight broke out because the whites didn't want the blacks aboard. The news got out and when they arrived at a stop a bunch of white men were there to kill them because of lies told by women and men. The fear was the unknown. But, despite its historical importance, the Scottsboro story is fundamentally a gripping drama about the battles for survival of nine defenseless young men, serving as both a warning against using people as props in political arguments and a compelling story of their hardships.
