You are a project manager recently assigned to manage a new project that will provide mass transit for students at the Virginia International University in Fairfax, VA. Your project will design a mass transit system that students will use to transport them between mass transit hubs (e.g. Metro, VRE, Fairfax Connector, etc.) and the University. Assume that the project risk management activities for this project are fully funded by the project sponsor.

ASSIGNMENT OVERVIEW

Use the course text (Cooper, Grey, Raymond, Walker, 2005), and the PMBOK Guide (PMI, 2017) to establish a baseline understanding of the concepts for this assignment. Use the following guidance to complete this assignment (1 paragraph each, minimum):

Provide an overview of the project so that the reader understands the scope and purpose of your project. Include clear objectives of the project and a high level view of the solution approach.

Describe the general approach to managing risks on this project, including the plan to include stakeholders, and scheduled meetings throughout the lifecycle of the project.

Describe how you plan to identify risks for this project.

Finally, describe some of the risks you anticipate might be identified on this project. Since you have not yet seen the lectures for this topic, just provide some very high level ideas of where you think there might be risks on this project.
