Assignment:

Create a week high school level lesson plan that is student driven, inquiry based, uses Kagan Strategies, no more than 10 minutes of lecture. Plan must include daily formative assessment. Also create a summative assessment that contains the following types of questions: multiple choice, multiple choose, short answer and extended response found in passages included in the assessment.

This all should cover the following social studies standards from Kentucky:

1. Analyze the role of the three branches of government in the lawmaking process.

2. Analyze the role of elections, bureaucracy, political parties, interest groups and media in shaping public policy.

3. Evaluate intended and unintended consequences of public policies locally, nationally and internationally.

4. Compare the domestic and foreign policies of the United States and other countries.
