Establish and Adjust the Marketing Mix Assignment -
ASSESSMENT 1 - For this assessment, you are to refer to the marketing opportunity developed for a client provided by your assessor (Appendix 1).
You are to develop a professional report that contains the descriptions of activities that will be taken to establish the marketing mix. As a minimum, you must provide in depth detail on:
The product characteristics and market significance
The target market, their needs and preferences
Environmental factors influencing the marketing mix
The levels of customer service to be provided
How the product/service will be distributed
How the product/service will be priced (including variables)
How the product/service will be promoted, including:
- identifying appropriate media requirements for target audience
- outlining campaign requirements for target audience
- identify creative requirements
- identifying / confirming budget
- detail timeline / duration of campaign
Any other products / services that will be offered (in conjunction with initial product / service)
The expected results of the marketing mix on implementation (including a time-line and KPI's)
The expected duration of the marketing program
How the program will be reviewed.
ASSESSMENT 2 - Following from Assessment 1, you are to review the implementation and progress of your marketing mix.
Your statistics and data required for the review will be provided by your assessor, proposed KPI's outlined in Assessment 1.
You should arrange time to speak with appropriate personnel (assessor) who can and reality behind the data provided. As a minimum you should identify:
- the success or lack of the marketing campaign
- possible reasons for the campaign result
- comments received by consumers in relation to campaign
- appropriateness of coverage
- possible environmental factors that may have impacted the campaign, etc.
Finally, using the data and information received - you are to provide a written response outlining:
- the success or lack of the marketing campaign
- factors that have attributed to the campaign outcome
- modifications that can be implemented to improve the future results
- how the modifications will be reviewed
Don't forget to stick within your original budget.
