A random sample of earthquakes around the world during July 2013 was obtained, and the magnitude of each is given in the following table.

a. An earthquake with magnitude of 1.0 to 4.0 is considered weak and generally causes minor or no damage. Is there any evidence to suggest the true mean magnitude of earthquakes is greater than 1.0? Assume the underlying distribution is normal and use a = 0.05.
