According to the definition of The European Commission in its Communication (COM (2011) 681) on 25 October 2011 defined Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as “the responsibility of enterprises for their impacts on society”. Companies carry out their responsibilities to society in terms of their relationships with stakeholders. In the present era, CSR is seen as a common standard practices for companies, especially for companies that have a great influence on the market. When implementing CSR activities, companies are engaging with community commitments and at the same time reinforcing the company's image in the eyes of consumers.
Within this individual assignment scope, we will work together on the CSR activities of The Body Shop. We will analyze the concept of CSR initiatives from the legal and business perspective. CSR theories will be included to analyze the nature, purpose and impact of the activities. In summary, the content of this individual assignment will provide a complete picture of The Body Shop's CSR activities in relation to ethics theories.

Like all the information we know about The Body Shop. This quote again emphasizes the importance of acting not only for profit but toward business values that may directly affect the environment and social activities. The Body Shop has set itself a code of ethics in business and has adopted it as a guide to navigating the company's image and operations.
There are many ways to evaluate the success of a company, a simple way that is evaluated based on the scale and revenue. But such is not enough, in an environment of modern business, in addition to the ability to bring revenue, reputation and image of the company in the eyes of consumers is also an important method to evaluate its position. The Body Shop has been very successful in building an impressive image thanks to its meaningful social activities. Building an effective strategy plays for CSR activities based on ethical foundation has helped The Body Shop achieve success today.
