Gregory Issacs, a wealthy businessman from the United States was a guest at The Grande Hotel and Spa located on the North Coast, for seven days. After 2 days, Mr. Issacs decided to go for a swim and decided to take off his diamond wedding ring, he left the ring on the dresser in the hotel room. When he came back to the hotel room, he was shocked to find out that the ring on the dresser was missing. He proceeded to call the duty manager and housekeeper to demand an explanation. Mr. Isssacs was advised by the duty manager that he was only able to take an incident report and the hotel will not be accepting responsibility for the "alleged" missing ring and he pointed to a sign on the dresser that stated;

"Please always lock your luggage and other valuables away. The hotel will not accept liability for lost items."

Mr. Issacs was very angry, he demanded compensation of $1 million dollars for his missing wedding ring and advised the manager and housekeeper that they will be hearing from his attorney.
