One of the difficult parts of being a manager is that you sometimes have to give your employees bad news. Whether that is to let them know they never got a promotion, there will be pending layoffs, or that there will be no bonuses this year, conveying the information is never easy. Recently you learned that your corporate office has decided to eliminate your human resources department and out source those responsibilities to an independent contractor. There are 8 people in your department that will no longer have a position in 90 days. Your has indicated that she would like to retain all of these employees and find and find a new position for them. This opportunity would require them to go through training (the training will be paid for by the company). If any of the employees decides to reject the offer you will do all you can to help them find another position with another organization.
