Trent is the chief executive officer of Jax Corporation. Trent’s responsibilities include decisions on product development, marketing, and other significant business directions. Trent is subject to the approval and oversight of Jax’s board of directors. Carik is a Jax manager whose duties include the firm’s day-to-day hiring, firing, purchasing, and selling. Dilig is a Jax salesperson, whose daily activities are controlled by Carik. Egrat writes technical manuals for Jax products according to Trent’s instructions and subject to Jax’s control, but has no dealings with Jax customers.
