Industry: Financial Services, Organization (any investment bank in US, I prefer Fidelity Investments)

Task Description -

You will have the opportunity as an individual student to research several business intelligence system vendors who are leaders in the marketplace. You will discuss the pros and cons of each one as they relate to your own business project data needs. Then you will learn the nine different types of business decision models and pick several of them that apply to your own organization and explain why.

The 3 vendors/systems researched are:

Oracle Business Intelligence Foundation Suite 11g platform, IBM Cognos, and SAS Visual Analytics business intelligence.

In this assignment, no need to do the 3 systems mentioned above comparison, this part already done in different assignment, all what you need to do is using Oracle Business Intelligence Foundation Suite 11g platform and discuss the pros and cons, major 3-4 major data factors that related to financial services industry/ specific organization (any investment bank in US, Fidelity Investments is recommended one) and then pick at least 3 out of below 9 examples of business decision models and explain the most important data variable for each for financial services/ picked organization last section is the recommendation.

Context for Assignment -

After researching two-three various types of established business intelligence systems for your industry, compare and contrast with your own BI system (Oracle). Discuss your BI system pros and cons and then look at 3-4 major data factors and compare them.

Then pick at least 3 of the 9 examples of business decision models (data applications) and explain the most important data variables for industry and organization. Explain how they have successfully implemented or could successfully implement each type of business data application through a particular database.

Make recommendations after research for a new BI system or revisions to the existing system based on one of the nine business decision models that is not represented by the organization but should be. Utilize your discussion forum research (or in class research) and recommendations for this part of the assignment.
