- Research Problem

One of the main purposes of the introduction of the new products was to increase the profitability of the business. However, the company's profit margin, which is measured by dividing profits and sales, has decreased. Although, total sales showed a slight increase, profits did not grow as expected. As a result, Learning Team D proposes to investigate the relationship of the costs associated to sales to determine possible causes of the problem.

Is there a correlation between the amounts of profits (DV) and sales (IV) based on the costs of making the product?
