Working as an individual, you should research and design an advertising campaign suited to print, online and outdoor environments for a product of your choice. Present your findings via a poster presentation which should take around 15 minutes for your explanation plus questions and answers.
You are pitching for the advertising campaign for a product of your choice.
Please note that you are selling your campaign, and the campaign in turn will sell the product. Your poster should encompass the following components:
• Product - Which product of which company have you chosen to advertise ?
• Identify & Analyse the Advertising Target - Segmentation, Targeting and Positioning
• Define the Advertising Objective - use SMART targets!
• Create the Advertising Platform - a statement of factors about the product that:
are important to the consumer when purchasing the product class
differentiate the product and/or the consumer
• Develop a Media Plan -this sets out the exact advertising vehicles to be used:
• PRINT - What medium are you choosing and why?
• ONLINE - Which vehicle are you choosing and why?
• OUTDOOR - What medium are you choosing and why?
Don't forget to mention the inter and intra media decisions taken.
• Media Schedule - a GANTT chart outlining the schedule for the adverting campaign (based on a 12 month campaign in the UK/region/country)
• Advertising Message -this sets out the advertising strategy to be used throughout the campaign:
Desired Effects e.g. Entertainment, information
Basic Appeals i.e. the central message to be used in the ad such as unique product features
Basic tactics e.g. Demonstration, humour, product comparison
