You will use books, published papers (journals, conferences), and/or government/company/institute reports, and scientific websites, and are required to critically choose, do research, evaluate, write and discuss a topic/title related to the intersection of Sustainability and Industry 4.0 Technologies.

Section 1: Defining and Analysing the Complex Sustainability Problem (500 +/- 10% words)
At this section you will define, explain and analyse the identified complex problem related to the sustainability (environmental, or economic, or societal, or a combination of them).
You will use previous literature and studies to strengthen your work. In addition, you will use statistics to provide detailed information for the reader. You can also use mathematics if necessary. Keep in mind:
what was the sustainability problem at the first?

who was impacted by the problem? how? or how much?
how some Industry 4.0 Technologies can be "related" to that problem?
who benefits from the solution? and how?
What were the challenges and issues related to the selected sustainability problem?
In the past, was any Industry 4.0 Technology used? how effective was that? Explain it.
Explain the outcomes and consequences of the previous solutions (if any) to justify there is still need for improvements using Industry 4.0 Technologies.
If any, in the past, what challenges existed when using the Industry 4.0 Technology?
You need to discuss and elaborate why the topic you selected is important and how it is related to the Sustainability and Industry 4.0 Technologies.
provide the proofs of your claims in the form of statistics, values, percentages, figures, graphs, tables, charts, etc obtained from the literature.
Provide and use sufficient literature survey and relevant case studies and examples in this section to strengthen your claims and report.

Section 2: Design of Technical Solutions for the Complex Problem - You should include the following details in this section
2.1. Selection of Appropriate Solution: (500 +/- 10% words)
At this point you will discuss and explain which "main" Industry 4.0 Technology(-ies) can be used or is used to solve the sustainability problem you discussed in Section 1.
Discuss, write, evaluate, explain and analyse any appropriate materials, equipment, tools, engineering technologies and processes necessary to solve the complex sustainability problem
You will strengthen this section by discussing in detail about one or different case studies and examples.
You will use and provide statistics, values, percentages, figures, graphs, tables, charts, etc.
2.2 Integrated Approach: (500 +/- 10% words)
At this point, you will discuss how "other" Industry 4.0 Technologies can be used and combined with the previous main ones to help solve the complex sustainability problem defined before.
This should be directly related to you own identified topic.
Your Industry 4.0 Technology solutions must be related to the topic selected and clearly shows where it was used and how it solved or can solve the problem.
You will strengthen this section by discussing in detail about one or different case studies and examples.
You will also use statistics, values, percentages, figures, graphs, tables, etc.

Section 3: Other Considerations for Design of Solutions for the Complex

Problem
This subsection will be divided into four:
Environmental and Societal Impacts (500 +/- 10% words)
Explain "the environmental and societal impacts" of the Industry 4.0 Technologies (the solutions) used within your selected topic.
In addition, explain what kinds of challenges the complex problem created regarding the environments and society, and describe how Industry 4.0 Technologies affected the problem.
You will strengthen your work by discussing in detail about one or different case studies and examples.
When necessary you can use statistics, values, percentages, figures, graphs, tables, etc.
You will discuss the negative impacts and effects of Industry 4.0 Technologies in case you find relevant information.

Other Aspects and Impacts (500 +/- 10% words)
You will discuss the impacts and effects of the selected Industry 4.0 Technologies (according to your own report) on a combination of health and safety issues, diversity and inclusion, cultural and commercial impacts, codes of practice and industry standards, (whichever is applicable to your identified complex problem). You will strengthen your work by discussing in detail about one or different case studies and examples.
You will use statistics and values to transfer as much as possible valuable information to the reader.
You will also discuss about the negative impacts and effects of Industry 4.0 Technologies in case you find relevant information.

Mitigation of Security Risks (500 +/- 10% words)
Explain what security issues exist(ed) in your selected complex problem and discuss ways to mitigate the negative impacts using Industry 4.0 Technologies.
Explain what security issues can be related to your selected complex sustainability problem and discuss ways to mitigate the negative impacts using Industry 4.0 Technologies.
You will strengthen your work by discussing in detail about one or different case studies and examples.
When necessary you will use statistics, values, percentages, figures, graphs, tables, etc.
Commercial and Intellectual Property Rights (500 +/- 10% words)
How do you use the engineering management principles to protect the legal rights (including intellectual property rights) of your innovative Industry 4.0 solutions? How do companies and institutes do that?
How do companies protect their solutions, innovations and product rights?
What are the commercial and business regulations or limitations in the topic you are investigating? How can they get improved?
You will strengthen your work by discussing in detail about one or different case studies and examples.

Section 4: Quality Management and Continuous Improvement (500 +/- 10% words).
You will include the role of quality management systems and continuous improvement in the context of your identified complex problem.
You can also discuss about your own solutions that you think could be used but it was not mentioned before.
In this regard, your suggested solutions should be logical, doable and plausible. It means that you need to show that a similar solution was used within another scope but not within the scope of your own topic and you think a similar Industry
4.0 Technology can be also employed within your topic.
You will strengthen your work by discussing in detail about one or different case studies and examples.
You can mention which standards and regulations exist for quality management related to your selected topic and provide the required references.

Conclusion (200 words)
This draws out the implications from the report and normally recommends a course of action for future enhancements and improvements.
It should link back to the Main Body of your Report.
