David and Anna have both worked at Rolling Industries for more than ten years. Rolling Industries is a relatively small plant which manufactures specialty products for automotive and other transportation contractors. Business pressures and automation have reduced the size of the workforce and led to declining profits. There are currently forty production workers, five support workers in other positions and five people in management positions. David has been approached by the United Commercial Workers Union (UCWU) about a union-organizing campaign at the facility to improve the working conditions. Upon hearing about this outreach, Anna speaks to her supervisor, the Chief Financial Officer, about the outreach.
