Industries such as restaurants and the medical field would be prone to regulatory oversight because it has to do with the safety of others. Restaurants deal with inspections to ensure customers do not get sick while consuming foods. In the medical field there are so many law that must be followed to ensure that the safety of patients are constantly met. In the industry I work in we have Department of Transportation (DOT) that can audit our company at anytime to ensure we abide by regulations. Drivers are expected to get medical clearance regularly and we are not allowed to have drivers work past a certain number of hours while driving. According to Moreno (2014), "The regulations were meant as a cure and a preventive measure, and intended to change how business is done. They have definitely accomplished the latter."
