Fieldwork Placement
Final Fieldwork Placement Report - Second Placement (CWA)
This report relates to your second fieldwork placement and is intended to demonstrate increased competence, professional insight, and integration of theory and practice, in line with Community Work Australia (CWA / formerly ACWA) expectations. This assessment constitutes 40% of the total academic mark for the unit.
Important note for second placement students
This report should demonstrate growth, depth, and professional insight, not just a description of activities. Greater emphasis is placed on analysis, reflection, and ethical reasoning than in the first placement.
When completing your report, you are expected to:
Demonstrate progression in professional practice
Clearly describe your placement context and role, with emphasis on how your practice in this placement shows development beyond your first placement. Highlight increased responsibility, confidence, or complexity of tasks.
Apply advanced community work skills
Provide evidence of purposeful use of different skills (e.g. communication, engagement, boundaries, ethical decision-making, behaviour change support). Focus on how and why skills were selected and applied.
Integrate theory, reflection, and practice
Demonstrate a strong link between counselling theories, frameworks, or models and your placement experiences. Show deeper analysis rather than surface description.
Engage in critical reflective practice
Reflect critically on your learning, including challenges, ethical dilemmas, and professional decision-making. Identify how feedback and supervision informed your practice and development.
Demonstrate ethical and professional maturity
Show clear understanding of ethical responsibilities, professional boundaries, confidentiality, cultural safety, and self-care, consistent with the CWA/ACWA Code of Ethics and Practice Guidelines.
Evaluate your effectiveness as a developing practitioner
Assess your strengths, areas for improvement, and readiness for professional practice. Identify future learning or professional development goals. No AI shortcuts — Only authentic assignment help from real expert tutors.
