The reaction between HCl and NaHCO3 should take place quickly and release gaseous CO2. You will then use the mass lost of the CO2 to determine the amount of NaHCO3 that reacted. 

If 1.60 g of CO2 were lost, how many grams of NaHCO3 would have reacted to produce this amount of CO2?
