Since ABC dashboard reflects data that shows their average is below the National and State benchmarks, they need to explore where and why they fall below. By creating a quality improvement initiative, they are able to ensure the safety of their patients and then properly educate their staff on the importance of two patient identifiers. Once implemented, then ABC can hopefully see positive outcomes and their monthly percentage meet or exceed the National and State averages.
