Aim: The aim of this assignment is to develop an understanding of the strengths and limitations of quantitative and qualitative research methods, and to apply this knowledge to develop an appropriate research design to address their research questions/objectives developed in Assignment 1. By completing this assignment, students will be able to evaluate different research methods and identify the best qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods design to conduct their proposed study through an acceptable ethical approach.

Using the knowledge, you gathered in the research methods class, tutorials, and from the recommended textbooks:

Evaluate the suitability of quantitative and qualitative research methods to address your research question(s) highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of these methods in relation to your study. You must clearly explain why the selected design is more appropriate for your study compared to the other approaches.
Provide the details of the sampling methods, data collection procedures, and analysis techniques you plan to use, along with suitable justification for their selection.
Explain the ethical considerations applicable to your chosen study. This might include ethics related to data collection and reporting of findings. Your discussion might include issues related to informed consent, confidentiality, and the protection of participants.
Explain the limitations of your chosen research design. The limitations due to the scope of the study and the chosen methodology need to be discussed.

All arguments and justifications must be based on the relevant literature.

By using referencing software, you can focus on your research and writing, without worrying about the details of formatting references and citations.
