Part One of "The Innovator's DNA". The purpose of this reading is to understand the main idea of each of the 5 discovery skills outlined in this section.

After you have read Part One, I would like you to write a 2-3 page paper on the following topic:

Do you consider yourself to be a disruptive innovator? Why or why not?

Your paper should demonstrate your understanding of each of the 5 discovery skills; it should also demonstrate your ability to consider to what extent you are a 'disruptive innovator', as defined by the authors of this book. Please keep in mind that not everyone is or should be a 'disruptive innovator' and that that is fine. Organizational innovation requires all kinds of people and ways of thinking, and the purpose of this course is to both help you understand what underpins innovation, as well as your strengths in relation to successful organizational innovation. So please feel no pressure to demonstrate that you are indeed a 'disruptive innovator' but instead focus on self-reflection and self-knowledge
