In a three-page, double-spaced memo, define a tax expenditure. Describe several of your chosen state's tax expenditures and the dollar values associated with each. Conduct some additional research to find out if the state you have chosen has engaged in any tax reform efforts recently or in the past that considers these or other tax expenditures. Include one paragraph that describes the current budget situation in your chosen state-is the state grappling with a deficit, natural disaster, or runaway expenditures in particular categories of spending?
