a. Construct a scatter plot for these data, and describe the relationship between the two variables.

b. Rank the observations in each sample separately, and find each difference between the ranks, di.

c. Find the sample correlation coefficient between the ranks.

d. Find Spearman's rank correlation coefficient using the di's.

e. Explain why the values in parts (c) and (d) are different.

f. Suppose the manager of concessions would like to sell as many hot dogs as possible. How may runs would he or she like the Red Sox to score? Why?
