The Internet of Things (IoT) is a system of connected devices and machines where data is transferred over a network without human-to- human or human-to-computer interaction. It will have immense effects on supply chains as companies move towards integrated systems with software vendors who are widely adopting the Internet of Things (IoT). The future of supply chain management will be dependent on developments in the IoT tools and software.
