Question

A marketing analyst has been asked to evaluate the relationship between promotional spending and sales of a new product. After collecting data, the researcher conducts a correlational analysis between promotional spending and new product sales and finds a correlation coefficient of r = .8 , and a p-value less than .05. In one or two sentences , how should the analyst describe : 1. the strength of the correlation (small , moderate , or large), 2. the direction of the correlation (positive or negative), and the significance of the correlation (significant or not significant).
