Case scenario: The hospital senior leadership decided to invest in Computer-Assisted Coding (CAC) to improve both productivity and accuracy of the hospital based coding. The HIM Director and Coding Manager were charged with the selection of the vendor, implementation of the product, and ensuring full adoption of the product by the coding staff. When the coders were informed about the decision to implement CAC in the near future, they were not excited. As a matter of fact, several stated that they would not work with CAC and would most likely plan to leave the institution. Discussion: Considering the above scenario, respond to these questions.
