A man, his wife and 3 young children live on an isolated and nearly self-sufficient farm (that is they produce most of their own food and are served by few public utilities). A river runs through the farm. Cattle and other farm animals drink from the river, and the children swim in it. The farmer grows soybeans on half of his land as a cash crop. He has a crop duster spray pesticide from an airplane onto his soybeans twice each summer. The other half of the farmer’s land is used for pasture or to grow hay for his animals. Write a paper the addresses the following in detail:

1. Describe all the possible ways (exposure pathways) the farmer and his family might be exposed to the pesticide

2. Discuss in detail, how you would determine the amount of pesticide likely to be taken in by the farmer and each of the other members of his family. You will not be able to actually calculate this dose since you do not have the information, how would you determine that does, what information do you need, what calculations would you use to determine the daily intake 3. List any additional information you would like to gather about the characteristics of the pesticide to complete the exposure assessment.
