What are two or three ways applying the methods in class could help improve an organization? In the private wealth management sector of financial planning where I work, there is no HR department. The business would greatly benefit from having an HR department to keep employees focused on the job and provide discipline for employees who need a wake-up call. For example, it is unethical for an employee to do non-work-related research, shopping, or social media on their computer during work hours, employees to use their vape inside the building (or at their desk), or work on anything else besides work, at work. Once an HR department or individual is established, employee performance evaluation methods, such as 360-degree feedback, would be best to discuss dilemmas with employees and allow feedback on both sides of the evaluation (Shepherd, 2016). Another important method to improve business is to improve organizational responsibility (OR) because it is important to remain legal and ethical. Cascio and Aguinis (2025) suggest that since the turn of the 21st century, technology has become a major resource, which means social responsibility also needs to improve. The Internet and social media have become a problem for some businesses because while it is easily accessible for everyone, creating a lack of employee engagement and responsibility at work and online, it is also beneficial for organizations to conduct business.
