Developing countries in contrast to countries that are developed are drastically different, however, they all recognize some level of a healthcare system that is needed for the natives. Wealthy countries with flourishing economies, still have ethical issues and dilemmas surrounding the various groups within the land. Global health interacts with the core functions of foreign policy: achieving security, creating economic wealth, supporting development in low-income countries, and protecting human dignity (Novotny, 2013).
The many efforts put towards the countries who are barely surviving the lack of currency, depleting economy, and helpless healthcare system has proven that even with all the humanitarian efforts the many problems with governments, violence, poverty, high healthcare costs are only surviving what they can manoeuvre through with the guidance of non-governmental organizations that seek to deploy humanitarian labours.
Countries like Denmark, Austria, Iceland, and Belgium are recognized in various ways for their economies, access to healthcare, and availability of healthcare quality still encounter issues. Denmark, they have such a small country, that immigrants find themselves being excluded from receiving quality care or even having access to healthcare services. Also, another group of people with concerns are those who are deemed unqualified for jobs because their level of education is being glossed over for positions in the economy in Denmark. These disputes are creating a political drift because not many public figures are speaking on behalf of those who experience this discrimination.
Developing countries like Chad, Belarus, Azerbaijan, and Honduras have bigger battles the create division, causing vulnerability, limiting access to healthcare, and available healthcare being inadequate for many of those who need it and/or seek it. Violence between armed groups and governments are bleeding economies of money to put towards healthcare services. All improvement efforts for developing countries have failed due to natural disasters, wars, and ineffective infrastructures that were initially designed to improve the health systems. The World Health Organization (WHO), which brings together 193 countries to debate and formulate policies and agreements on common health threats, including those of transboundary nature. These include diverse issues such as addressing health workforce migration, intellectual property and health, tobacco control, virus-sharing in response to infectious disease epidemics, and destruction of the smallpox virus (Novotny, 2013).
Increasingly, each of these issues involves critical political and economic dimensions related to national security interests, geopolitical power shifts, and international trade (Novotny, 2013). Some of the governments that are negatively impacting the socioeconomic status with the politics that are viewed as destroying with an assertion or remaining silent and complacent with the lack of security are creating a division amongst the citizens. Assembling an organization consisting of representatives from almost 200 countries to help improve health systems, health workers knowledge, access to information and prepare them for pandemics and epidemics.
