Project Phase includes:

2. Writing an Introduction (word document) to the topic
3. Data Collection
4. Data entry into excel sheet
Sample Themes identified: The project may be on any of the topics as your team decides but a sample of topics are given below:
1. Study habits of university students
2. Spending pattern on electricity/internet/ mobile phone or any other item
3. Society- social skills for the new generation
5. Life style- eating habits or exercising or awareness on life-threatening diseases etc
6. Family survey- Number of members, age, education etc
7. Health- number of members, age, expense on medicines, chronic disease etc
Instructions
1. should prepare a questionnaire (of not more than 4-5 questions) to collect primary data. These questions should give you data on qualitative, discrete and continuous variables. Only open-ended questions should be used. The questionnaire should be approved by the instructor before the collection of data.
2. The population and sample for data collection can be decided in the team. The sample size should be at least 25.
3. Once the data is collected, enter the data in excel sheet as per the guidelines of the instructor.
4. Also prepare an introduction (1-2 pages maximum) : discuss the relevance of your topic(any one of the subthemes above) in the 1st paragraph and in the 2nd paragraph give detailed explanation about your population, sample size, data collection methods, variables under study and sampling techniques used for the project. This document should have a cover page mentioning the sub-theme (title) and the team members' names with the ID. Add the sample questionnaire at the end of the Introduction as an Appendix.
5. Data collection: The questionnaire will be used for the survey. Your minimum sample size will be 25. You may decide the sample (internal, external, whether students or otherwise) depending on the topic.
6. Data entry: Enter the data (rows will represent each respondent, column for each variable) You have to submit only the softcopy of the Project Phase 1.
