Begin this activity by logging into the PMIÂ® Website and accessing the SOURCE_SELECTION_CRITERIA form. Review the Forms tab on the PMI Resources page for how to download the form.

Read and analyze Chapter 2 Case Study 2, Transportation Improvements, and answer the case questions minimum one paragraph each. Further, each question asks you to consider the underlying assumptions and criteria. As you respond to each question, specifically address how the strategy of the project sponsor contributes to the development of project selection criteria.

Open the SOURCE_SELECTION_CRITERIA form found in the book of forms download on the PMI Site. The SOURCE_SELECTION_CRITERIA form is used to select outside vendors as well as internal projects.

Populate the tool using the selection criteria you identified in the case.

Score each of the projects identified in the case using your best judgment from reading the case together with the criteria.

Identify which project you have selected and briefly describe your rationale.
