These are the introduction for my bio lab report, can you please help me check with my wording, and other stuff, see if it's used properly for a bio lab report

Nearly all lives on earth are solar powered. Therefore green plants are at the predominant place in the entire ecology system; they are the producers, and they use sunlight along with carbon dioxide and water to process the photosynthesis and produce the food in the form of glucose/sugar for themselves and the rest of organisms in the biosphere. There general equation for the photosynthesis is: 6CO2 + 6H2O + light energy = C6H12O6 + 6O2.

The purpose of our experiment is to determine different photosynthesis rate between different plant species

With the raw data and the knowledge we recovered from the experiment the following null hypothesis was constructed: The collards that have the thickness leaves will have the fastest photosynthesis rate, on the contrary, the chards that have the thinnest leaves will have the lowest photosynthesis rate, and the spinach' photosynthesis rate will be somewhere in between because the photosynthesis rate depends on the thickness of the plant's leaf, the thicker the leaves are, the more chloroplast will reside in the mesophyll.
