A description of a company's stock performance might be the annualized returns for one and three years. (To determine the annualized return, use a calculator and solve for I/y, or an Excel Spreadsheet to calculate Rate (no payments) where the current price is FV and the price N years ago is PV. You may also use the interest rate function of this online calculator (Financial Calculator, Time Value of Money, Compound Interest, Interest Rate)). 

And/or you might show the relative performance by downloading a chart showing the stock prices of your company compared to its competitor and the S&P 500 index.
