Anne reported that currently the company is using a manual timesheet for all the departments. Staff fill-out a manual (paper-based) timesheet weekly to log their time-in and time-out for each day that they worked, forward the timesheet to the Supervisors while the Supervisor forwards the timesheet to the Human Resource-payroll division for encoding and computing of wages. There has been an increasing complaint where employees' timesheets are misplaced by their supervisors causing delay in pays for casual employees. Some casual employees are also complaining about error in the computation of their pay as it is manually encoded by the payroll department. The Payroll office also complaints about staff not filling-out the timesheet correctly. The company requires to improve the payroll process by introducing an electronic timesheet to be implemented not later than June 2024.
