Managers face many constraints in selecting members to serve on a team. Often the prospective members report to other managers and are already involved in operational and project-related work. For this discussion activity, place yourself in the role of the manager who is asked to assemble a team to work on an important project. As you review the resources this week, continue your research, and provide your Discussion posting, contemplate the following questions:

• As you discuss your need for resources for this team with other managers, what are the characteristics and behaviors you associate with productive members of a team?
• Consider the teams on which you have served. How would you contrast the characteristics of team members with whom you enjoyed working with those where you struggled to get along and work effectively?
• How will you monitor the health of the teams you manage? What specific things would you do to manage situations where the team is not functioning?Provide a cohesive and scholarly response based on this week's content and your own research that addresses the following:
